Standard silicone boasts excellent durability and resistance, rendering it an extremely versatile material. That said, its porous nature means it isn't ideal for applications involving oil, oil mist, or fuel.

To address this, Rainbow has developed fluorosilicone lined hoses and fluororubber (VITON) lined hoses, which are specifically engineered to block oil from seeping through the hose walls. Our fluororubber-lined silicone hoses provide robust resistance to corrosive chemicals and coolants. It has undergone testing to endure OAT coolants, along with specific rust inhibitors that might be utilized in cooling systems.

Rainbow produces fluorosilicone-lined and fluororubber-lined hose products, crafted by combining reinforced silicone with fluorosilicone or fluororubber—all thanks to the exceptional resistance these materials provide. Standard silicone exhibits solid durability and strength. The viton linend silicone hose can protect the interior of the hose from being eroded by these media; (such as acids, alkalis, oils, solvents, etc.), the silicone outer layer has better tolerance to environmental factors such as ozone and ultraviolet rays.
